AIC has been monitoring the development of the coronavirus pandemic, and the evolving advice from the UK government on minimising spread and containment.
AIC - Coronavirus Supply Chain Update: 19 March 2020
AIC Members across the agricultural supply chain are reacting to and making preparations for the rapid spread of Coronavirus and the resulting impact it will have on the UK’s availability of food and feed. Our top priority is to comply with Government rules to delay the spread of disease, while at the same time ensuring that feed and food supplies continue uninterrupted.
AIC Services Feed & Food Assurance Schemes introduce NEW audit regimes: 17 February 2020
In response to the need to demonstrate increasing levels of robustness in the feed assurance schemes AIC Services will be introducing a range of NEW short notice and unannounced audits for the FEMAS, TASCC and UFAS assurance schemes from Q1, 2020.
AIC appoints new Policy Manager to shape forward-thinking agenda: 11 February 2020
AIC is delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Pearson as Policy Manager. Andrew’s role will involve working across all five sectors of AIC, analysing the latest information and data in order to develop solutions for the most pressing issues facing agri-supply businesses and UK agriculture.
AIC welcomes early re-introduction of Agricultural Bill: 20 January 2020
“We welcome this early re-introduction of the Agriculture Bill to the House of Commons”, said AIC Chief Executive Robert Sheasby, “clarifying key issues for the sector ahead of any significant trade agreements is crucial for our members”.
