UK feed and crop protection trade group, the Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC), is setting out the case for the UK agri supply industry ahead of the EU elections.
The Agricultural Industries Confederation Scotland outlined the important contribution to the rural economy made by agrisupply businesses to Cabinet Secretary Mike Russell when they recently met at Harbro premises at Coalburn, South Lanarkshire.
The UK Former Foodstuffs Processors Association (UKFFPA) has welcomed the Government’s ‘Step up to the Plate’ initiative. It has been launched by the Government’s Food Surplus and Waste Champion Ben Elliot. He is bringing together key industry players next week, and they are expected to sign up to a number of commitments on measuring and reducing food waste.
The Committee on Climate Change report calling for action to reach a net zero carbon position for all greenhouse gases is being reviewed by the Agricultural Industries Confederation, which represents much of the UK agrisupply industries.
The Fertiliser Industry Assurance Scheme (FIAS), in collaboration with the Agricultural Industries Confederation (FIAS), National Counter Terrorism Security Office and NFU has developed an infographic video presentation on safely storing and handling fertilisers on farm.
